2017 Rubik’s Cube Open


168 speedcubers packed JACCC Plaza for the 8th Annual Nisei Week Rubik’s Cube Open, setting a new California record for largest competitions. The times were fast as Max Park repeated as champion with an average solve of 6.77 seconds and the fastest time of the day at 5.43. Park would triple his trophy take with victories in the one-handed competitions as well as winning the Final Tournament, taking home $100 cash.

Pilaf Scruggs won the blindfolded competition with a best solve of 1:35.18.
