Most dances at the Ondo are "Te odori" (Dancing with a open hand) except Sho Tokyo Ondo which dancers will need a "sensu," a folded fan or a "uchiwa," a round or moon fan.

For those who cannot attend practices, parade dances will be uploaded on YouTube.com. Link to be announced.

Grand Parade is August 14 and will start at 5:30pm (assembly area for dancers and dance groups is at Honda Plaza, 2nd Street and Central Ave at 5pm).

The Ondo and Closing Ceremony is August 21 and will start at 4:00pm (assembly area for dancers is at JANM plaza no later than 3:45pm)

Special announcement:
This year at the "Ondo and Closing Ceremony" we will have live Ondo dance music by Minyo Station. Starting the program will be Taikoproject one of the leading Taiko groups in United States, whose past TV performances include "The Voice" and "The Grammys." More info to follow.
