Liane Kristen Takano
Queen
Liane Kristen Takano, 23, representing the Little Tokyo Lions Club,
was born in Long Beach, California and
currently resides in Cerritos, CA. A Phi Kappa Phi graduate of the
University of Southern California, she received her bachelor's
degree in business administration with an emphasis in Real Estate
Finance, along with a minor in web technologies and applications.
Currently, Liane is working for the Related Companies of California
as a Real Estate Developer. In her spare time, Liane enjoys cooking,
baking, and dancing. She will support the Orangewood Children's
Foundation as her Nisei Week Platform this year.

Lisa Emi Shimabukuro
1st Princess
Lisa Emi Shimabukuro, 24, representing the
Orange County Nikkei Coordinating Council,
was born in Torrance and resides in Tustin,
California, and is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine
with a bachelor's degree in anthropology. She hopes to obtain her
master's degree in higher education administration. In her spare time
Lisa enjoys playing basketball, cooking, doing arts and crafts, and
shopping. She will support the AIDS Services Foundation of Orange
County as her Nisei Week platform this year.

Stefanie Michiko Fujinami
Princess
Stefanie Michiko Fujinami, 24, representing the
Japanese Restaurant Association of Southern California,
was born in Santa Monica, California and
currently resides in the Westside of Los Angeles, CA. She obtained her
bachelor's degree in business administration from Loyola Marymount
University. She is currently pursuing a teaching credential and masters
degree in elementary education and is a first grade teaching assistant. In
her spare time Stefanie teaches swim lessons, and works out. She has chosen
to support as her Nisei Week platform The TreePeople.

Callen Harue Kitaura
Princess
Callen Harue Kitaura, 23, representing the
East San Gabriel Valley Japanese Community Center,
was born in Redwood City, California and currently resides in Corona, CA. She graduated with
an associate of arts degree from Riverside Community College and plans to obtain her bachelor's degree in fashion design
and merchandising and hopes to work for a famous designer. Callen enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time with family
and friends. She will support the Locks of Love Foundation this year as her Nisei Week platform.

Colleen Keiko Suyenaga
Princess
Colleen Keiko Suyenaga, 23, representing the
West Los Angeles Japanese American Citizen League & Auxillary and Venice Japanese Community Center,
was born in Los Angeles and currently resides
in Laguna Hills, CA. She is a recent graduate of the University of
California, Irvine majoring in psychology and minoring in biology and
philosophy. She plans on pursuing a master's degree in genetic counseling
to do clinical work in the future. In her spare time, Colleen enjoys
singing karaoke, going to the theatre and doing photography. This year
for her Nisei Week platform, she will support Amnesty International.
