The 3rd Annual Nisei Week Gyoza Eating Championship - presented by Day-Lee Foods, welcomes a host of top-ranked competitive eaters, headlined by Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Champion Joey Chestnut. Last year, Chestnut dominated the field by devouring 231 of the delicious potstickers, setting a new world record. Number two-ranked Patrick Bertoletti took second place with 202 gyoza, while the 2007 Nisei Week Queen and Court teamed up and finished off 47.

This year, top-ranked eaters Tim Brown (#10 World Rank), rapper Eric "Badlands" Booker (#13), Nate Biller (#19), Kevin Ross (#23), Sean Kirby (#42) and a field of local amateurs will attempt to deny Chestnut his 3rd consecutive Gyoza Eating Title.

Registration for this competition is closed, however the 20th and final spot will be auctioned off at the beginning of the event.

New to the festival is the Rubik's Cube Open, which will feature several of the top local speedcubers attempting to solve the world's most popular puzzle in as little as ten seconds.
